Munson Spec Suspension Package Stage 4
Munson Spec Suspension Package Stage 4
***Pricing is rough estimate, we haven't finalized pricing yet but this should give you a decent ball park***
A combination effort between Wenzlaff Performance and Munson Motorsports brings you the “Munson Spec” Stage 4 package. For the 5% of you out there that want the ultimate rough trail setup, this is it. Our stage 4 package is one for those that are looking to tackle the Tug Hill style moguls all day long at speed, sacrificing small bump compliance and high speed sweeper/Canadian type trail stability for a mogul eating machine.
Along with everything from the stage 3 package, we’re swapping out the CC front spindle for the drastically taller 600R snocross sled spindle. A massive 2” taller from ski bolt to LCA gains you a ton of ground clearance, a banjo tight OEM length limiter strap allowing full FTS shock stroke and drastically increased ski pressure. The 600R spindle features several geometry changes to create a very positive steering feedback/feel that tracks incredibly straight through the roughest of trail. These spindles will require a full re-alignment of the machine as the tie rod locations are different than trail model spindles.
We’re also swapping out the progressive ski shock springs for an aggressive dual rate setup as we’re focusing less on our broad spectrum compliance window and more on our large bump capabilities. That said, this setup will still perform well in the smaller chop, but it won't be as plush as our other packages.
Continuing with the front end changes, we’re ditching the standard W/E Velocity shocks and going to the 2” Cross Country ski shocks that feature a traditional reservoir location as well as Hi/Lo compression AND rebound adjust. In my testing I’ve found these shocks to provide a much more linear feel throughout all compression events and terrain. They simply perform better and more consistently all the time, however you need to be in tune with the machine to really notice the difference. They also just look killer!
This package is NOT for everyone. You should have a decent grasp on snowmobile/chassis setup as well as an understanding that this is very much so a tight/technical ROUGH terrain specific setup that will not be as confidence inspiring at very high speed sweepers and service road type trails. Yes it will most definitely do it, but at the cost of increased rider effort to keep the machine doing what you’re demanding of it.
Included in the Stage 4 package is:
- Dual rate ski shock spring kit
- Polaris 600R TALL front spindles (full re-alignment of tie rod assemblies required)
- W/E Cross Country ski shocks (Traditional reservoir location, hi/lo compression and rebound adjustable)
- Hygear Pro-CC (128/9” Pro-CC must also purchase the Hygear Gullwing bracket sold separately. Link here)
- Hygear dual rate FTS spring kit
- Long Tail torsion springs (with template for drilling your existing rails)
- W/E 2” rear track shock
- Wenzlaff Performance rebuild/revalve servicing of all 4 shocks
- Hi/Lo adjusters for FTS shock
Pricing is for outright purchase of the above package. Some shock trade-ins are accepted as a discount towards package purchase price but must be discussed before purchase.
We can most definitely substitute CC spindles for the 600R spindles if you want everything of the Stage 4, but would like to retain a better balance of high speed sweeper stability.
